Utility Parts Cleaner

Are you mechanically inclined and ready to join a team that values precision and quality? Staffmark is hiring a Utility Parts Cleaner to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. In this role, you'll be responsible for grinding, cleaning, and preparing industrial rolls to meet customer specifications.

Pay: $17-$25/hr (Based on Experience)

Shifts Available:

  • 6:00 AM - 2:00 PM
  • 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM
  • 10:00 PM - 5:00 AM

Responsibilities:

  • Operate industrial grinders and overhead cranes safely
  • Match roll serial numbers to factory orders and verify specs
  • Set up grinders with correct blocks, stands, and cables
  • Perform multi-stage grinding using various grit belts
  • Take hardness readings and ensure proper alignment and crown profile
  • Inspect for contamination and maintain detailed records of each job
  • Clean and maintain machines between jobs
  • Wrap and stage completed rolls for the next department

Qualifications:

  • At least 1 year of industrial or mechanical experience preferred
  • Ability to learn crane operation and follow load specifications
  • Comfortable with physical work, including lifting and working with tools
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
  • Basic inventory and measurement skills
