Normally this position carries the functional title of Area Project Lead and has responsibility for the engineering design of multiple areas or process unit(s) on a project. Reports to a Project Engineer III, Project Lead III or Project Manager. Coordinates all design engineering disciplines for a particular work area. May be placed in responsible charge of small projects under 10,000 manhours of engineering. Must be fully competent in the use of the S&B Project Management Manual. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES The Project Engineer II is responsible for the overall quality and timeliness of the work from all discipline personnel assigned to the area, and the coordination of the discipline leads. Also, may be responsible for the personnel in engineering support groups charged with tracking cost, progress, and schedule. On larger projects, may be responsible for the work of one or more Project Engineer I's or Project Lead I's.
